When you buy

Payment is handled by Stripe. I receive your name, your email address, the amount paid and the country and postal code you enter. I never see or store your card number. Your license key is stored with your email address so you can download updates and find your license again.

When you look up your license

The email address you enter is used only to send you the link to your account. The page looks the same whether or not the address bought. The address is kept for up to two days, only to limit how often a link can be sent to it.

Emails

Your license email and any license lookup email are sent through Resend. Buying the kit never puts you on a marketing list.

Limits and security

To stop abuse, your IP address and license key are counted for a short time: lookups for up to two days, downloads for the day. Cloudflare, which hosts the store, keeps standard request logs.

Analytics

The public pages (this one, the sales page and the license) use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use them: clicks, scrolling and anonymous session recordings, using cookies. Pages that show a license key never load it. Microsoft's privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com. You can block it with any tracker blocker, and the store works the same.

The live demo

The demo grades any public website you enter and keeps the report at an unlisted link for 30 days. Anyone with the link can open it. If a site scores 90 or more, its address and score can appear on the demo's public leaderboard. The demo counts scans per IP address for up to two days to limit how many one visitor can run.

Under a report you can choose to leave your name and email to get the report emailed to you. That box is optional, and the demo works the same without it. What you enter, with the site you graded, its score and the rough area your connection comes from, goes to my CRM (HighLevel), which sends the email. I follow up about the Grader Kit only if you tick the box asking me to. Email chad@scrolltheory.media any time to be removed.

What I don't do

I don't sell or share your information, except with the services above that run the store for me, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

License records are kept for as long as your license exists, so you can keep downloading. Nightly backups of them are kept for 30 days.

Your choices

Email chad@scrolltheory.media to see, correct or delete what I hold about you. Deleting your license record means you can no longer download updates.
